01 / Our purpose
Onward Care is a founder-led effort to acquire and grow home-based care agencies. Our ambition is to help more people receive dependable, high-quality care in the place they call home.
Your agency is more than a business. It’s a team, a reputation, and relationships earned over years. Understanding those strengths comes first.

About us
Onward Care is building the next generation of home-based care—one that gives providers the support to do their best work and helps patients live well in the place they call home.
Co-Founder and President
Naren has spent his career building healthcare services businesses, helping incubate, operate and scale companies from inception to more than $1 billion in annual revenue. His private equity experience includes helping launch LifeStance Health in 2017 and supporting its growth through its 2021 IPO. He graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College with degrees in Economics, Computer Science and Spanish.
His interest in home-based care is personal: he helped his parents coordinate care for his grandparents in India, working across time zones with physicians, nurses and caregivers. He founded Onward Care with Tanner to pair that personal commitment with his experience supporting healthcare teams. Onward Care is 100% founder-owned, with no outside investors, and is not a private equity firm. They want to build on what owners have created, preserving their agencies’ family-like culture and trusted relationships while helping them grow through caregiver recruitment, stronger referral relationships and technology that reduces administrative work—so their teams can serve more families without compromising care.
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Tanner grew up in a house where care was part of daily life: his grandparents moved in with his family when he was young, and he watched his mother look after them through their final years. The son of a physician, he came to see good care as something families and professionals do together. That’s where his interest in caring for older adults comes from, and it’s why he’s using his engineering background to take the paperwork, scheduling and phone tag off caregivers’ plates so they can spend their time with clients. Over the past year he has worked directly with senior-living communities, families and caregivers in North Carolina, piloting a program to improve care for older adults and learning first-hand what good care takes day to day.
Tanner graduated cum laude from Williams College in Mathematics and Computer Science and studied at Oxford as a visiting student. He went on to work at Google as a software engineer on Google Cloud and the company’s global network, and as Director of Engineering at a New York startup, where he built and led the engineering team. He left Wharton’s MBA program to start Onward Care with Naren.
